Dan’s Mechanical PE Exam Prep was extremely helpful on my journey to become a PE. The questions were pointed, and the videos working the problems explained which equations to use, but moreover, explained the science in a relatable way. This was helpful for retention and improving critical thinking skills that undoubtedly were beneficial for the exam. In addition to the materials, Dan also hosts monthly check in meetings to discuss progress, amping up the accountability factor.

I just recently passed my PE exam using Dan’s Mechanical PE Exam Prep. I am not a design engineer and do not typically work with most of the material on the exam.
I first tried a more corporate course and I can’t say I got a lot of out it. I saw Dan’s videos on YouTube and reached out to him and that was the best decision I made. His course is great for someone like me that lacked the day to day experience. There is a lot of example problems that are specific to the exam. I didn’t just learn the math but more importantly the concept on how to use the refrigeration charts, phsych charts, heat loss equations, bernoulli’s equation, and much more. I would send emails asking questions on practice problems and his responses were quick and thorough.
I would highly recommend this course. I don’t believe I would have passed the exam without his help.

Is the content released according to a schedule?
All content is available to you immediately upon enrollment.
Are the examples similar to real exam problems?
Yes, most of the problems have been written to be as hard as exam problems or slightly harder. My goal is to challenge you, but not distract you or waste your time with hour-long problems. Every problem has at least one key insight embedded within it, and very often two or three.
Are the solutions based on the Computer Based Test (CBT)?
All 5 Practice Modules are solved using the the NCEES Mechanical Reference Handbook PDF. The companion Practice Problems book calls out specific search terms from the handbook to help you quickly find what you need.
I've been out of school for a long time. Is the Full Access Bundle right for me?
Yes! By covering the Fundamentals first, I give you the background and context you may have forgotten (or never fully grasped back in college) before we start solving example problems.
Are the PDFs in the practice modules downloadable?
Yes, for all 5 core chapters nd the 2 Full Practice Exams there are 5 PDFs: Problem Set, Answer Key, Complete Solutions, Key Formulas, and Key Search Terms. These are all downloadable from our Learning Platform.
